1. Are public or private schools better for English? Interview teachers in your school's English Departments. Tally the results and send them in. We hypothesize that English teachers should know where their children will get the best English education.
2. Can any Japanese young people have an English conversation? Send your ideas about how best to test the hypothesis that almost no native Japanese youth can communicate in English. This can be done inside of school or out. If you go out, OFSET will reimburse you and your student's train fares and snacks up to 5,000 yen. Please pre-approve.
